If Dreams Were Reality...

If dreams were reality, then my life would be complete. The reason why is because of this dream I had this morning. I'll fill you in now, but as a head's up, it is three pages (front and back) long hand-written.

Tia and I both had a guy we were dating, and had been for a little while. My guy was a lot like David Artuletta (at least, he could be compared to him, sort of...besides the being younger than me thing, more like looks and what seems to be a sweetness about him). People were discussing why they were dating us, and I grew concerned. I was on my knees for some reason and I began to cry. He knelt down next to me and I wrapped my arms around him and bawled. As I began to limp down from crying, my grip around him stayed, but I slid down him, until my face was buried in his back and my arms were tightly around him. He held tight to my arms and said to the people around, "I chose her cause I could; she's the one I want and I'm keeping her."

I was then at our old pastor's house with Mom. She was on the porch holding a large number of balloons. I didn't know what the party was for; Mom reminded me that it was Autumn's (my old pastor's granddaughter) birthday and the party was for her. Ethan (Autumn's brother) came out and accidentally popped most of the balloons and the rest blew away. The two went inside to fix things, but I stayed out in the side yard. I was trying to figure out something around this certain name. I thought it was my man's name, but it was changed so he could marry. Then these two vehicle loads of people arrived. They parked and went into the large side yard. They began to do this dance thing as I watched. I think my man was among them, but I don't know. We (Mom and I, and if there were others with us, them too) went home.

Mom, Tia, another woman, and I were upstairs doing something, I believe it was folding clothes. We were all talking and having a good time, but I know there was something they knew that I didn't, either said before now or whenever I walked out. Mom then asked me to go change the laundry; I didn't really feel like it, but I went. As I walked out of the room, I stopped for a moment to hear them talking. They didn't say much because they realized I hadn't gone down the stairs, but by what I heard, it was something about me getting engaged. I then headed downstairs to the laundry room. I pulled the clothes from the dryer and stacked them on the large pile of clean clothes that had accumilated. I then put the clothes from the watcher into the dryer, which happened to be my clothes. For some strange reason, as I loaded the drying, I was looking for a ring box in the damp clothing. Before I went back up, I let Emma (one of our dogs) and another small dog outside. Emma was chained up to the pole the phone line hooked to; the other small white puppy was hooked to nothing. I then went back upstairs.

Upon my arrival back upstairs, the three women were silent and smiling, and I became suspicious, but said nothing. After a while upstairs, we remembered the dogs were still out. We looked out the window and saw only Emma. I went out to fetch them. I called the tiny white dog and she came running from next door. I sent her into the house and proceeded to take Emma off the chain. She acted like she does when I am trying to get the shockie off her. She went inside as well.

I was then upstairs in the media classrooms area on campus (at least, it looked different yet similar, but I knew that's where I was). I was chilling on a couch, wearing jeans, a tee-shirt, my black zip-up hoodie, and a pair of clip-ons. I was just sitting there alone, people watching, minding my own business. My man came up and sat next to me; I didn't think much about it at all. He began talking about all these things, and us and what not. I wasn't watching him at all, but rather, still people watching. He then began to talk about our love and he kissed my forehead, a sticker or something staying there. The next thing I knew, he was slipping my Purity ring off and slipping another plain band onto my finger. I froze then when this happened because I knew what was going on. I somehow had said yes, though I don't remember saying it. He then explained what the ring said, and something about the quote or where he got it being in a movie or something. He kissed my forehead again and left.

My heart had practically stopped beating; I was in total disbelief that this had happened, so I went on like nothing was different. I wanted to see if anyone noticed anything, just to make sure I hadn't just dreamed it. I was a few rooms down from where I had been, now sitting with many people, including Lindsay Lyles. No one at first said anything, until Lindsay asked what was on my forehead. I then knew it was real. I then searched around for Lissa, just to make sure it was real, that a ring really had been put on my finger. She was in on the plan all along. Without words, just looking at each other, I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I really was engaged. We bounced around like giddy little girls for a second, but stopped quickly so no one would notice; family had to know before others.

Lissa led me somewhere, but I lost her, so I began looking in the rooms. The first two were empty, with stuff playing for media majors. The next room I came to was it; it was beautifully decorated, like a ceremony was going to happen, but it was only to celebrate me getting engaged. The first person to congratulate and hug me was April (my older sister). She was so proud of me and so happy for me and my man. The next was Mom. She kept whispering in my ear how proud she was, how happy she was, Mom stuff. We both then began to bawl tears of joy. When we were done I proceeded to hug Tia. Definately nothing big and dramatic as with Mom, but she was just as excited.

I then saw my reflection in the mirror on the back of the door. I was still in my frumpy clothes, my hair was gross, and I looked even worse from crying. I told Tia we needed to hurry and beautify me before stuff started. I then saw some of the guests who were arriving in the hall. The two I saw before I moved to the other side of the room were Brooke Harris (an old friend from middle school) and Jennifer Clanton; I was excited for guests arriving.

I then moved to the other side of the room, either to get ready or to hug Daddy. Once over there, Mom was fixing a few of the decorations with the lady arranging it all. She showed the lady the corrct color to fix something. I then realized that I really liked the color scheme, even though I usually wouldn't. It was bright pink (think hot pink, but not quite that bright) a periwinkle type blue, and lilac purple. There was also a fair deal of white everywhere as well.

That was where it ended. I think the oddest thing of it all was how real it was. Usually dreams aren't that real, but all the details, including my old pastor's house and yard and my home, were all as they really are. And so were all the people in it; in the dream they were the same as they are in real life, size, shape, and all. But it was a completely FABULOUS dream, and I wish it would have continued. Okay, that's a lie, I wish it was reality!

Strange Dream

I totally had the strangest dream last night. Here we go:

My older sister and her husband were renewing their vows. My neice and nephew were part of the wedding party, as were two other little girls. The whole set up for it was really weird and confusing though. After it was over we went for the reception. After a while of still being in the chapel area, Mom, Dad, and Tia were no longer in there so I went to find them. There were somewhere sitting at this table. Mom and Dad were sitting on the end on one side, the two seats across from them empty. There was also another empty seat next to them, on either side. Next to that empty seat (on the side across from my parents) were two guys, and then Tia. The first guy (closest to Mom and Dad) was the guy who plays Horatio on CSI:Miami (David Caruso), and the guy next to him was the guy who plays Nick on CSI (George Eads). Of course, the first thing I said was how much I loved CSI:Miami, and Eads says something like, "Of course, no one likes New York," which was totally weird that he seemed mad about that because he plays in the original CSI. I also mentioned how I loved that Callaigh and Eric (on CSI:Miami) finally hooked up, and we talked about that for a little while too. Anyways, the four of us continued to talk, Tia, the guys, and I. And the strange thing was Tia and I were hitting on the guys. Okay, maybe not so strange that we (mainly Tia) were hitting on Eads, but hitting on Caruso was weird cause he's old. But things are as they are.

Next thing I knew we (Mom, Dad, Tia, and I) were suppessed to be leaving. And then Tia and I were going to this party that I think was still part of the reception. When we got there, Eads and Caruso were still there, so we joined them. After a while we wanted to dance. Tia danced with Eads, and I danced with Caruso. Weird thing was I didn't feel weird dancing with him, I enjoyed it (dream me; me personally, I find it odd). After dancing and having a good time for a while we all prepared to leave.

After we left (me on a bicycle, Tia on a motorcycle or moped; weird, I know) we were at this light, and who should pull up next to us but the guys again, both together on a motorcycle. They went to turn one way, and us go straight and we nearly hit each other. So Tia and I went the same way they did, followed them you could say. After a while we went down this one street and couldn't actually ride our bikes (which now Tia's was an actually bicycle) so we just walked next to them. It was dark out, so as we passed this one extra dark curve in the road, I wanted the guys by us since I was getting scared. As we rounded the corner we entered this building that looked like a dentist's office. We were all just sitting there talking when a lady came up and was putting stuff on Tia's teeth to numb her mouth so she could do work on them. It was this gross, goopy stuff that looked like the hot wax you use when waxing your legs. Another strange thing is that is right where the dream ended. Weird, I know.

Pickitt Talent Show And Other Happenings

So, Wednesday night was the Pickitt Talent show. If went FABULUOSLY!!!!! I played Malibu Barbie/blonde bimbo with Hall Council in our skit on a take of "The Dating Game," then I played and sang Taylor Swift's song "The Best Day," and finally P2W (my section) danced to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" dressed as old ladies!!!! That one was definately my favorite act!!!! And as I told you, it WAS the best act that night. Everyone kept coming up to us and telling us how great it was and how they were crying from laughing so much and some that they had nearly peed their pants! Even people who knew what we were doing were blown away and thought we were a blast!

Since my laptop is being stupid, I cannot add any pictures for you, or video, but I do have my videos uploaded on Facebook, and one of my friends posted pictures she took. As a head's up, the very end of my section's dance is not there because Tia's camera died. So I will tell you what happens: Lindsay (the girl in the light blue dress and tan vest) took away my cane and I fell. Anyways, here are the links: Pictures, Hall Council Skit, P2W Section Dance. PS...You need a Facebook account to actually see any of them.

After the talent show, most of the section then went to Applebees, still all dressed up as old ladies!!!! It was a ton of fun!!! A lot of us kept our old ladies personas for a little bit while we were there. And by the time we left, we thought the people in the kitchen could probably smell us. And the reason why is because we had put baby powder on our hair so that it looked white. The bathroom we put it on in will probably smell of baby powder FOREVER!!! I just wish it could have lasted longer!! Tia and I then went home. Definately feels really good to be home!!

In other news, Dave and Nadine (family friends of ours) came over to visit today. We went to our gym and swam for a little while (mainly because Dad wanted to get baptized). While we were there I went down the water slide with Nadine; she thought it was a lot of fun and we were trying to get the others to do it too. After like an hour we got out and headed home. We then had a barbeque, even though it was raining out all day. Dad pulled the grill under the awning of the garage and grilled the hamburgers and hotdogs there. We had a nice big meal. We then headed out and went bowling; we bowled three whole games! I never bowl three games! Two is definately enough for me. Dave and Nadine both got over 100 all games because they rock like that, and because they are on leagues. I got 73, 75, 58. Mom and Dad both got over 100 their last game, and Tia got 55 the first 2 games and 62 the last game. By the time we got back we were all exhausted, so Dave and Nadine only stayed long enough for cake and ice cream. So, you have all been caught up on the things that have happened the last few days.

Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Fire!

Wowzerz! So much has happened since my last post! The first thing being we are now into the month of March!!!! I can hardly believe it! Well, I have a few things I need to cover, so we had better get started. I'll begin with bringing you up to speed on things mentioned in my last post that you knew were going to happen.

First off, Pickitt Passion, I feel, went great. Not many women came, most of them from Keithley, no freshman, but I don't really think the quantity matters. As I had mentioned, I missed Tuesday, but I made it Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday was Death; Sam Longo, Janelle Brown, and Christine Mutch all spoke. I think they all did an amazing job, and it was a ton of fun talking with Christine about the baby she is expecting! Then Thursday was Life; Bethany Henning, Emma Rosauer, and Michelle Reichartz (my roommate) all spoke. I didn't like where Bethany and Emma took it, but Roommate did AMAZING! I was so proud of her and sharing her story the way she did!

The concert we had for Chancel went GREAT!!! The whole week and a half previous I had a cough, so by the last few rehearsals before the concert I couldn't sing above a B. By our last rehearsal before the concert I could sing a B, but still couldn't get out anything higher than that. By the time of the concert, thank God, I had my voice back and could sing all the notes we needed to sing! It felt so amazing to be able to do that! And when we sang Testiment of Freedom, it was just so exhilerating! Chancel and Choral joined together to sing, and Symphonic Winds played along with us too! It was just such an amazing experience; you would have had to have been there to truely feel it best!

Next comes the dreaded exam I mentioned. I had thought that the exam for my American Studies Exam was on February 25th so I was taking my time studying for it; I didn't want to go insane from over-studying. Well, as it turned out, the exam was the Wednesday before, on February 18th (which was also Pickitt Passion). Since I was taking my time to study, all I had really done study-wise was type up my notes and a few terms; I hadn't even looked at the essay questions. So for about a week and a half I was a little stressed, wondering how I had done on the exam. We got them back on Friday and I was greatly surprised. I got an 85% on the exam!!!!! I got every multiple choice question right and I only got a point or two marked off of the 5 ID questions. As I suspected, it was the essay that brought it down the most; I only got 28 out of 40 points for it. But I am very, VERY happy with how it turned out. Definately a "Thank you GOD" situation.

Another great thing happened on this past Tuesday. I cannot go into many details on the whole situatoion, but I can sum up some of it. This man I used to know in my past finally got arrested a couple weekends ago. That was a real answer to prayer because my family and a family that are friends of ours had been waiting for a few months for it to finally happen. I trial date was originally set for February 17, but he got a lawyer so it was pushed ahead to the 24th. It wasn't an actual trial, but more of a thing to see if they had any substancial evidence against him. My mom and sister went with my friend and her mom to the courthouse that day, but Tia and Mom weren't actually allowed in and had to sit in a room the whole time. So therefore I couldn't get the details out of it that I wanted, but Tia was able to answer some questions based on what our friend and the prosecutor said. I guess the guy came in all arrogant, confident, and cocky, thinking they had nothing on him, but by the time it neared the end, you could tell he was scared. I was glad to hear that! But the even better part was hearing that the judge believed my friend and that she had enough evidence against this guy, so its going to actual court!!!! That was definately a big answer to prayer indeed!!

I just remembered another thing I wanted to talk about. I am inserting it here so I don't forget after the stuff I know I won't forget. Anyways...I told you all about the weekend when Lissa and Steph came. Well, the weekend after that we had some friendship troubles. I'm not going to go into all the details because they're not important. What is important is that things were worked out and fixed rather quickly. Yet another "Praise God" time for me. Hopefully things are fully back to how they sort of were, but there is no telling until I go home for Spring Break, which starts this weekend!!!!! ^_^

Moving on...The Pickitt Talent Show is this Wednesday (recap will come speedily after, no worries...and possibly pics and videos). I am in 3 acts. I am doing a skit with Hall Council, singing and playing guitar by myself, and dancing with my section. I'm not going to go into details so I can tell you all about it Wednesday. I can tell you this, P2W is going to have the best act out of ALL the sections!!!!

Also, Saturday I got to go to my niece's birthday party! I was so glad I could go (kudos to Lindsay for driving me there!) and be there for it. I made sure to let everyone know that she wasn't to know I was coming so that it would be a surprise. And it was! When she saw me walk in she ran up to me and jumped into my arms, literally! We all had a good time though, lots of fun at any family get-together (even though my brother-in-law's brother is literally a creeper, a story for another time). It's just so hard to believe that Allyson is 9!!!! And Christopher is going to be 12 in August! They just grow up so fast! Boy so I sound like I feel old, which is kind of funny cause I don't really feel old; I just feel like they're growing up too fast.

I officially joined NaNoWriMo for this November! So be prepared to either hear nothing from me come November, or hear my wailings and insane rants possibly everyday. I have never done NaNoWriMo before, so I'm not too sure what to expect. But I know I am up for the challenge, so matter what happens. And if you don't know what NaNoWriMo is, it stands for National Novel Writing Month, and their site is here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/ So if you're a writer, you should so try it with me this year! And you don't have to sign up now, you can sign up any time before November 1. I chose now, first off, because I've been wanting to since I first heard about it half-way into November last year, and have been waiting for a while to do so. Secondly, I chose to do it know, because, if you think about it, November is nine months away, so I will be preparing to birth my first full novel. Sure it won't be fabulous and will probably need tons of editing, but it will be my first FULL, finished (sort of, minus editing stuff) novel.

Well, I think that is everything. There was just so much to catch you all up on. I need to not wait two weeks between posts; it's just far too much to remember for one sitting. Have a great night/day and a great week everyone!!! ^_^

What A Week!!!

So much has happened in the last week! I guess I will start at the beginning.

First off, I got a fish. Yep, my own pet betta. Michelle said I had to get one after I told her for like the millionth time that I didn't sleep well on the weekend, though part was from Lissa and Steph staying over and us talking all night. Michelle was concerned about my sleeping patterns, so that's why she suggested a fish. So Tuesday night, when I went to Meijer's with Lindsay, Jessica, and Robyn, I got my fish. His name is Hugh, like Hugh Jackman, Hugh Laurie, Hugh Grant, or Hugh Dancy. If you wanted to really strech it, you could also say he is named after High Heffner, but we won't go there.

Then this weekend was Road Trip. Road Trip is where youth groups come and visit the campus for the weekend, and live sort of like a college student. Well, they were short on evening hosts, so I figured that I would volunteer because I missed doing it. Friday night came along and it was time for me to pick up my girls. I had said two max, but someone in Pickitt was gonna have three. So I took three: one on Michelle's bed, one on the couch, and one on the floor. And let me tell you what, it was one good weekend. The girls from that youth group were all pretty loud and obnoxious, like me, so we got along rather well. They were all sweet girls and we had a ton of fun, even though I only saw them in the mornings and at night. And then when I said bye to them they hugged me and told me they had a great time. They really was great!

And of course there was Valentine's Day Saturday. Thankfully I didn't really get sappy and depressed. I felt pretty good and was actually very happy for Valentine's Day. I didn't see many couples around campus, so that was probably why. I swear, if I had seen couples walking around all lovey-dovey and all that jazz, I probably would have gotten all depressed about being single on Valentine's Day. But all was good and I made it through.

Then today I went to Barnes and Nobles with Lindsay and then we went to Steak and Shake for dinner. But this section is about Barnes and Nobles. When we got there we went to Lindsay's favorite section, the used books, which are all pretty cheap. I just kinda browsed around a little, not expecting to find anything. A lot of what caught my eye were books that looked really old; I like old books a lot, even if it's just to have it and I never read it. Well, while looking I happened upon The Crucible and is was only $3!!!! It was pretty tempting, and I decided to grab it just in case I did want to buy it. Then I saw a section on books that were all just a dollar! So I figured I would look, not thinking I would find anything that interesting. There were some old looking books that at first caught my eye, but then didn't seem interesting. Then I stumbled upon a book titled Red Carpet Diaries: Confessions of a Glamour Boy, which is Cojo's book. If you don't know who Cojo is, first off OMG! and second, Google him. So since it was a dollar I bought it too. Now I just need some time to read it. No worries, I'll give a review when I finish it, IF I finish it. Hehehe!

Now it's a new week, and I am not really looking forward to it that much. I have a quiz in one class tomorrow, a presentation in a class Tuesday, as well as a dress rehearsal and Pickitt Passion Tuesday night (though I won't be at Pickitt Passion), then Pickitt Passion is also Wednesday and Thursday nights, and then we have a concert on Saturday. And I also think I have an exam for my American Studies class this week too, that or next week. So this week will be pretty busy, and probably stressful too. Let's hope it doesn't get too bad! ^_^

You've got A Friend In Me

This past weekend was a pretty great weekend for me, besides the fact that I have a cough that I just can't kick. Anyways, here's what happened. On Saturday my two best friends, Melissa and Stephanie, came up to hang out with me. The got here around 1:30pm or 2pm. We sat in my room for a little while, maybe no more than a half hour, and then we decided to go out for dinner. Lissa decided that she wanted Chinese, so I got to looking online for a place to go.

We ended up deciding on First Woc Chinese Restaurant. We almost thought we weren't gonna find it, but we did. We got there and sat down, starting to decide what we would order. Lissa got Crab Ragoons and Wonton Soup. Steph got Egg Drop Soup, another order of Crab Ragoons, and these things that were like Crab Ragoons except for being filled with meat, not crab. I got Egg Drop Soup and Fried Shrimp. Let me tell you that the bowl placed before me did not look at all like Egg Drop soup. All three of us ended up not liking anything we got, except my shrimp, that was good. So we decided that if we heard someone saying they were gonna go there that we would definately tell them not to.

We were then gonna go bowling, but we wanted to get back so we could watch the movies Lissa had brought. We stopped at Target cause there were some things we wanted to check for there. After we finished there we headed to Meijer's to get some snacks for during the movies. We then headed back to campus. We got things ready and together and watched the first movie. It was Purfume. I hadn't heard of the movie before and wasn't sure if I would like it. I ended up liking the movie, except a few parts, but it was definately interesting. It had been a long movie, and by the time it was over we all decided we were still hungry (cause we didn't get that much for snacks cause we didn't know what we wanted). So we ended up going out again and going to Taco Bell. I always forget how much I like that place until I eat something from there after a while.

When we came back we put in another movie. This time is was Step Brothers. That movie was completely HILARIOUS!!! I hadn't seen the movie before and was neither interested nor uninterested in seeing it. But I definately had a great time watching it. If you ever want a good comedy to watch, depending on what type of comedy you want, I would definately say watch this. And Will Ferrell sings this Andrea Botoccelli (probably spelled his last name wrong) song, and actually sounds really good doing so! Which is kinda a shock, cause I didn't know he could sing so well.

We were all sorta tired, so we decided to skip the other two movies and go to bed. But that's not what happened at all. We stayed up until 4am and talked, just talked. You see, whenever Lissa and Steph would come stay at the house Tia, Lissa, Steph, and I would have these deep, intimate (not inappropriate intimate, closeness intimate) conversations, bearing your soul kind of conversations. Well, we hadn't had one of these chats in a long time, so we had a lot we talked about. I really missed those, so it was nice to do so again.

Sunday we got up at 11:30am and were just sitting around for a little while. Lissa and I then decided to go take showers. Yes, I convinced her to have a shower party, but Steph was unwavering in not wanting to do so. After our showers and me blowdrying my hair, we went out for Brunch. We were gonna go to IHOP, but they looked packed, so we went to Red Robin. After Red Robin we went back to campus and were bored for a while, which led to us playing hide-and-seek in Pickitt. After a couple rounds we decided that we were gonna go bowling.

So we went off to a bowling alley we had found the day before. We were a little complicated getting a lane at first, but the employees were nice. We then proceeded to play our two games. I completely sucked the first game, even though I got a stike, the only one I got the whole day. I did better second game, but still was sucky. I blame the actual lanes. Lissa and Steph, on the other hand, did there usual, Lissa about the same as me and Steph doing really good.

After bowling we came back and hung out in my room again for a little while until they decided it was time for them to leave. It was sad seeing them go because I miss my besties, but we had to get on with the day. I just love my friends so much, as I have made so clear numerous times before. And I know I would never be able to live without them and their friendship. I love you two crazy chicas!!!!!

Dream a Little Dream of Me

Here is another dream I had, this morning actually. It was a little strange and the details were a little foggy, but here it is. I will tell you that the stragest thing about it was I feel like I had a dream similar to it before, and dream me knew it. Not in the sense I physically knew I was dreaming at the time, but rather that dream me knew it was a dream, which was a little odd.

Tia and I were at a hardware store or something. We were painting on these canvases when this guy came up and tried to talk to us. I didn't want to talk to some strange guy. But he kept right on talking. Then we were walking around the store with him.

Someone thought Tia and I had killed a few people, but we didn't. We then saw our guys, mine the one from the store and I don't know who hers was. They were about to be killed and buried for some crime they supposedly did. We were behind the garage at the house. I didn't want him to go. As we sat there on the ground I hugged him and held him tight and kissed him. He kept saying he had to go. I was determined to prove him innocent before he was gone. I went back to the store where he worked to figure it out. I figured out it was a co-worker of his, so I hurried back to tell him.

He was standing next to the garage (the church side). I rushed over to him to tell him he was innocent, but he said he still had to go. I started to cry when I remembered something. "I've dreamt of you before, like this. You come back; you always come back." "Yes, I do." I wrapped by arms around his waist and buried my head in his chest. He was taller than me, easily 6' or taller. I began to cry because I still didn't want him to go. I got up on my tippy-toes and kissed him again. We went back to the backyard where they would be buried.

He sat down and they were about to finish things. "Wait," I said as I dropped down next to him. "Let me say goodbye one last time." I wrapped my arms around him again, not wanting to let go. We kissed again, desperate for that last touch of our lips to each others. I held on to him as tightly as I could, refusing to let go, as we kissed passionately one last time.

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes...

...When you're fast asleep.

So, I had a really interesting dream last night/this morning. It was one of those kind of dreams that you wish it would never end or that it was reality. Since it was so great I figure I will tell you all about it. So here we go.

My friend Amanda Smith got engaged and I was so happy for her (because I love when something so great happens to my friends). Then Tia got engaged too, and I was even happier because she's my sister and I love her so much and want her to get all she dreams. Tia and I were waiting on a curb for our ride when Tia then pulled out a ring. She gave the ring to me and told me I was getting married too! She said it was a guy who lived up near Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Floyd. I couldn't believe what she had said! I was so very much excited, more than I was for her and Amanda. I was uber excited and couldn't wait to get on the role with getting plans together. I had so much that I was ready to start doing that I could barely contain myself!

Mom, Dad, Tia, and I were gonna celebrate at the fancy Ram's Horn. Ram's Horn is this dinner chain by my house. One of them (the one right around the corner from my house) came under new management, I'm guessing, and they completely remodeled it, making it a lot more fancy than all the others with the same prices. Anyways, we were driving there (though not that direction) and were headed down Cherry Hill towards Venoy. If you know the area you know where I'm talking about; if not, you'll just have to picture an intersection near you. At Venoy there was this church skit/set-up sort of thing. We had to drive through it, though by the time we were near the end we were walking.

At the end I saw a couple people from my past that I no longer have an interactment with: Amanda Green and Melinda, an old pastor's wife and his daughter. I thought Amanda was standing there so I told her I was engaged, but she didn't respond; she must have left or something. So I moved on and told Melinda; she was really happy for me. I didn't think anything of it in the dream, but looking back at it I think it's really weird that the two of them were there in my dream.

Anyways, we left and headed on to the restaurant. On the way I asked Mom if he was gonna move down here, cause I would not be moving up there. You see, Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Floyd live in Alpena, which is up north in Michigan, though still the lower penninsula. I stayed with them for two weeks a few years ago and learned that I was never meant to live anywhere my near the city or in the suburbs. That was why I asked if he would be moving down here, because I would never in a million years move up north. My mom told me he would be moving down to where we are.

That was where the dream ended. The only bad part was during the last part, after the getting engaged part, because I was in that state of inbetween awake and asleep. At that point I suddenly realized I was dreaming and it wasn't actually real, so I was pretty disappointed. As I started to fully wake up I really wished that my dream was real, but dreams are just dreams. Well, unless you are Cinderella and then that dream that was a wish your heart made is now reality.

New Semester, New Classes...

Okay, so yesterday was my first day of classes for the Spring Semester. I was a little worried because I wasn't sure if I was ready for this new semester or not. Well, the day turned out to be a really good day! I have a friend or two in all my classes for MWF (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). And those classes seem like they should go rather well too, which is a plus. I have Learning Strategies (which I have to take because I failed all of my classes last semester), Freshman Rhetoric (which is a writing class), and American Studies. I am most excited about American Studies because the prof seemed like he would make the class really fun and interesting to be in.

So now I just need to make it through today. At least for TR (Tuesday, Thursday) I only have 2 classes, Principles of Management and Chancel Singers. I at least know that Chancel will be easy and I'll have no problem with it. I took Principles of Management last semester, and I figured I would have a try at it again. I hope I do better this semester in that class. And that I actually don't dislike the class as much as last semester.

I also had my first meeting of the semester for Hall Council last night. I am really excited about how things went. We have quite a few events for this semester for Pickitt (my dorm). I just hope I don't get so caught up in Hall Council that I don't get stuff done for classes. But I am gonna try harder to balance my responsibilities and manage my time better.

Here's to a better semester than last semester!

Me and "Marley and Me"

I went and saw Marley and Me with my friends tonight. Total spur of the moment thing. Well, it was definately such an AMAZING movie!!!! I loved it so very, very much!!!!! If you are a dog person or if you have a dog, you DEFINATELY have to see this movie! And if you have heard the rumors of people taking a box of tissues in, I would believe them if I were you; I cried more that I have in any other movie I've seen!

As soon as I got home I gave my dog Angel a GINORMOUS hug! Marley and Me definately made me love my dogs even more. We have a little mutt puppy, Emma, and she if mischeivious just like Marley. I was constantly leaning over and telling Tia that I was reminded of her. And I was reminded of Angel the whole movie cause she is a lab, though not the type of lab Marley is; Angel is chocolate lab. But anyways, when I got home I just wanted to hold them tight, and hug them. I wanted my Angel Kisses and I want to cuddle with my Angel. And I wanted to play with Emma.

I definately would give Marley and Me a 10! I think everyone should go see this movie with the whole family! And when it comes to DVD, if you have a dog, you need to buy it or rent it and watch itwith your dog too!

I suppose I should sign out now, before I bust out bawling again! Have a wonderful night! And go give your dog a hug! ^_^

Friends Become Family

I don't think I would be able to live without my friends. They make life so much more better than it is. Today was just another reminder of this fact.

Around maybe 2 or 3 this afternoon, Lissa called me and wanted to know if I wanted to go bowling or to a movie with her and Stephanie. I still had to do the dishes, so we waited a while to go. By the time I was done, Lissa and Stephanie had decided that we would do both. She came and picked me up, just as a was actually getting dressed.

We were going to go bowling first, but then we decided to go to the movie first. We went to go see Seven Pounds. I didn't know what it was supposed to be about at all. I hadn't even ever seen a full preview for it. I had just seen stuff about it on shows like Entertainment Tonight. Even though I didn't know what it was about, I really liked it a whole lot. Lissa thought it was sad, even cried, and though it was sad in parts I didn't cry. I would definately suggest that you go see it. Even if you are like me and don't really know what it is about, you need to go and see it. Yet again Will Smith gives us a very wonderful movie. I would definately have to say that he is one of my favorite actors.

After the movie we stopped to give Tia her phone at work cause she had left it at home. We spent a couple minutes there and talked with her before heading off to go bowling. Bowling was fun. It was Lissa, Stephanie, and I, along with a guy friend of Steph's, Johnny, who had also went to the movie with us. Anyways, we got 2 lanes so the 2 games we played would go faster, since Johnny had to get home at 10. He left before we were done with the second game, so the three of us finished off that game for him.

Tia met us at the bowling alley once she was out of work. We then headed to dinner. We were going to go to Texas Roadhouse, but they closed at 10. So we had to find somewhere else to eat. We were gonna go to Ram's Horn, but Tia suggested that we go to TGI Fridays, since none of us had ever been there. It took us a while to decide on what to eat, but we finally did. Lissa didn't like what she got, and I think Tia only liked her's a little, but Steph and I liked ours. I got a small steak with this 5 cheese mac-n-cheese. Steph and the actual 5-cheese mac-n-cheese meal. The cool thing about it was that it was this prize winning recipe that was on this show that I had just watched last night.

I just love when I get the chance to hang out with my friends! They always bring out the best in me, and sometimes the not-so-best (though not worst). I just thank God for giving me my best friends and sisters: Tia, Lissa, and Steph! The sister who became my best friend and my best friends who became my sisters! Where would I be without my other halves? I love you three! ^_^

Movie Mania

As I said yesterday, we went and saw The Tale of Despereaux at AMC Fairlane. We had such a hard time finding a parking spot though! There were so many people there since it was 3pm on a Sunday. So Mom just dropped Dad, Tia, and I off at the door while she went to find a spot. She then joined us inside as Dad bought the tickets. Just as we were about to leave the ticket booth, I noticed that they gave us tickets for Seven Pounds on accident. So Dad got the right tickets and we went to get our snacks. Tia got a garlic parmesian pretzle that I thought would taste gross, but she let me try it and it actually tasted really good! It reminded me of garlic bread dipped in alfredo sauce.

Funny thing about going to the movies: Tia and I kept quoting Dane Cook before the movie started. His bit about a date at the movies is funny!!! Okay, all his stuff is funny!!! Moving on!

Now for my movie review...I thought that The Tale of Despereaux was totally adorable!!!! It was such a cute storyline! There were a couple things I wasn't expecting, but that made it even better! You just can't go wrong with a movie about a puny mouse with huge ears (though it did remind me of Dumbo). I don't want to say any specifics about the movie so I don't give anything away if you want to see it. So I just hope you go see it and see how cute this movie really is!

Well, that is it for today! I hope you have a great week! And try not to have too much fun on Monday! ^_^

Having A Good Time

Okay, I know, I like to take my titles from songs. But who cares anyways? Besides, I love music, so I'd have to relate it into my posts somehow. Anyways, time to move on to what I had to say.

So, as I said yesterday (or the day before that if you are actually thinking the real date of this post even though I still consider today Saturday since I haven't gone to sleep yet), Tia, Lissa, and I went bowling this afternoon. Some guy that Lissa knows also came, but I really don't know him. He was fun though. Anywho, We went bowling and it was a ton of fun. I am starting to get better at bowling, though I still have never gotten over 100. First game I got 82, second game I got 75. I am pretty proud of myself cause I keep getting better. Adam (that was Lissa friend) did the best, and Tia and Lissa did about the same as each other both games. I just love going bowling with friends!

Funny sidetrack story! When Tia and Lissa picked me up to go bowling (cause Tia had stayed the night at Lissa's) we stopped at Lissa's house so she could get ready. She wasn't ready cause they had to get up at 10 and go get a part for my dad. I digress. When we got to Lissa's house and were walking in the door, Tia pantsed Lissa (cause we get very amused doing that to each other and we do it a lot). Well, as it turned out, Tia had grabbed one too many layers and we got mooned by Lissa! Good thing none of her neighbors were outside at the time! So yea, that is my sidetrack story.

After bowling we stopped at Blockbuster to get a movie before taking Lissa home, since she had to work tonight from 6-11 (she works at K-Mart). Well, the movie being rented was mainly for me, so I went in alone to get it. Tia and Lissa decided to be funny and start driving off when I came back outside. I am very used to this cause they like to do this to me a lot. Normally I would just wait for them to stop cause they never leave without me, but this time, I don't know why, I decided to quickly open the door and try to get in. Well, it worked!!!!! Yes, I actually jumped into a moving vehicle!!!! Okay, so it probably wasn't going even 5 miles an hour and I was getting in the front seat, but still!!!!! How awesome is that?!?!? ^_^

Well, when we got home Tia went upstairs to take a nap and I watched some TV while waiting for Dad to get home. When he got home, we (being Dad, Mom, and me) left to go see Dave and Nadine. Dad had a job to do before we actually went, so Mom and I stayed in the car while he did that. Then we were off again. The funny thing about where Dave and Nadine live is that they are so close to the Ohio border that you have to actually go into Ohio to actually get to their house! Weird, huh! So yea, we got dinner at a Chinese buffet in Toledo then went to their house. We taught them the new game Grandpa and Grandma had taught us. They had a lot of fun with that. Mom won the first game, Dave the second, and Mom again the third.

After we finished playing the game we were all pretty hungry. We were sitting trying to decide what to get. Okay, so it was more like Mom, Dad, Dave, and Nadine were deciding. Well, we ended up going to Big Boy's because that specific one is open 24 hours a day. Mind you, this was like midnight by now. So yea, we went there to go fill our hunger. The only bad thing was we were blubbering messes, in the sense that we were laughing so much we were crying! It had started at Dave and Nadine's with all the crazy antics during the game, and it just escalated at Big Boy's! I'm just glad there was hardly anyone there! I just feel sorry for our waitress! But boy was tonight a BLAST!!!!!!! I love the chance to get to hang out with Dave and Nadine!

So after dinner we all went home, though for us it took around an hour. So we got home right around 2:20. And I am so tired I know I'll fall right alseep! And I'd better because tomorrow we (Mom, Dad, Tia, and I) are going to go see The Tale of Despereaux. That is going to be such a cute movie! I'll be sure to give my review tomorrow/later today!

A Day Well Spent

Today my parents, Tia, and I got to spend the afternoon and evening with April, Chris, and the kids. They got to the hourse around 3-ish (I think) and we gave them all their Christmas gifts. They all really liked what they got. They got me a stuffed Mickey Mouse that stands up on it's own. We also started to play Apples to Apples while we waited for Dad to come home.

A little while after Dad came home, we went out to dinner. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, Texas Roadhouse. If you have never been there you should really try to find one near you and go there; they are AMAZING! So we went there to eat (all 8 of us) and that was fun too. And our waiter was kinda cute too.

After that we went straight to the hotel April and Chris are staying in. And it was a really, really fancy place too! They got it pretty cheap for which hotel it was! Anyways, when we got up to their room we all changed into our swimsuits. We proceeded to have a blast while we were swimming. The hot tub was kinda lame though, cause the jets weren't working right. And that was pretty dumb since it was a fancy hotel.

So we had a lot of fun today hanging out with them. And I got to see Melissa today too cause Tia and I picked her up from work. Tia went over to her house and is staying there for the night. Tomorrow sometime the three of us are gonna go bowling, possibly with more people, depending on who Melissa can get to come. So I fill let you know how that goes, though being with Tia and Lissa together is always a blast!

Day Trips, Grandparents, And Old Friends

So, today my parents, sister Tia, and I went to Saginaw to visit my grandparents. We haven't had the chance to see them this year as much as we've seen other relatives. It was a really nice trip.

We left around 9 this morning and stopped at Tim Hortons to get some breakfast. And then we were on the road. We got to Saginaw around 11. Soon after arriving we had lunch. It was okay, though it would have been a lot better if Grandpa had made his really amazing pot roast instead. After we ate we played this new game they had that was basically like Sorry. It was fun; they gave us one to bring home with us. Shortly afterwards we headed home.

When we were almost home we stopped at Walgreens. While we were on our way in Tia and I saw our old friend (who lives down the street, but we hardly see him) Chris Brown. Yes, his name really is Chris Brown, but he is not the Chris Brown. Anyways, though it was pretty cold outside, we stood outside and caught up with him. It was really great to see him, because of all my friends from high school, he is one of the few that I really miss.

Tomorrow should also be a great day too. We (my parents, Tia, and I) are gonna get to see my older sister April, her husband Chris, and their kids Christopher and Allyson. We are gonna go out to dinner with them and Chris' family and then we are giving them their Christmas gifts. And I think they are staying at a hotel, so we might go over and swim there. I will be sure to fill you in on all the details tomorrow.

Start of Something New

Well, with the start of a new year, I also decided to start something new: a new blog. I'll share with you some of my ups, my downs, and everything in between. I'll give you a glimpse into the life of a budding writer. I may not post daily, but maybe I will; who knows.

I guess I'll start of with the new year. Though New Year's Eve wasn't what I had hoped it would be, I still had fun. And I keep my hopes high for the plans I have for New Year's Eves to come; mainly going to New York to watch the ball drop. That has always been a dream of my sister and I, and I have confidence that we will one year go.

And I am sure that with the new year most of you have set some resolutions. Maybe you hope to do better with them than you did last year. Maybe your resolution is the same as last year, or maybe it is something new. For me, most New Year's my resolution was to lose weight; not really a well-kept resolution for me, and probably many others. So this year I decided to shake it up a bit, though it is still a big resolution, at least to who I am.

My resolution this year was actually taken from a movie, A Kiss At Midnight. It's a great movie and I suggest it to all you romantic comedy lovers. Anyways, one of the main characters, Susan, resolves to have someone to "kiss at midnight" the following New Year's. Well, taking from her, that is also my resolution, to have someone to share a kiss at midnight with next year. Like I said, this is pretty far-fetched for me to resolve to, seeing as I have never dated or been kissed before and I have not a single prospect. And you'd think I would doubt the possiblity of it happened because the things that happens in movies hardly ever happens in real life. But I am overly an optimist, so I will wait it out and see what ends up happening. Maybe I'll have someone, maybe not. Either way, I will have tried something new.

Well, that's all for now. I hope you enjoyed this first installment. Maybe I will have some people follow me through this journey. Until next time!

P.S. I know the title of this post is the title of a song from High School Musical, but it fits. Not really the song, just the title. And the funny thing is I really didn't like the first one (though I like the others) and I didn't really like that song. Anyways, I just thought I would clarify in case there were to be some confusion.
